Will I travel 7 hours for engagement photos? Yes.
Will I go to three beaches in one day? Yes.
Will I stop for seafood on the way to your session with you? Yes.
Jacob and Michelle, you both are the BEST! We went to THREE beaches in ONE day. Three!! Now, I know that most of you are probably not that committed to your engagement session, but sometimes there is that one couple. That one couple who brings five outfits, who hikes a mile, who spends the day driving to beaches in the cold. Yes, in the cold. This was not ninety degree weather with the sun shining all day. It was freezing and raining all day. But that did not stop us.
We started our day at six or seven am. I honestly don’t remember what time we started, I just know that it was early and required coffee. Three hours later we were at Cannon Beach. We of course stopped for seafood first. Got to get fueled up for our adventure in Oregon.
First Stop: Cannon Beach, a perfect beach for slashing around in the water.
Second Stop: Smuggler’s Cove, my favorite beach in Oregon. It’s a beach you have walk aways to, but when you make it to the end it is truly amazing. It is the kind of beach you find in a movie; a walk through trees and forest and you reach the end the dark cold feeling ends and the bright warm sunshine streams down on you.
Third Stop: Hug Point Beach, the beach that Michelle’s parents got engaged. This was the perfect spot to end Jacob’s and Michelle’s session because they are starting a new chapter in the same place that Michelle’s parents started a new chapter. That is a truly beautiful thing.
I’ve decided I want to be a destination engagement photographer. These two made me want to be on the beach every weekend photographing couples. I have know Michelle since day one and when I first met Jacob a couple of years ago I knew that these two were going to end up together. I have to give a shout out to Jacob for enduring endless hours of photos. That’s dedication! Of course we made time for food and naps but still, you made this photographer very happy. Oh, and I guess you made Michelle happy too!
